WES included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)
16 November 2017
Clarivate Analytics (formerly the Intellectual Property and Science business of Thomson Reuters) has accepted Wind Energy Science (WES) into the Web of Science (WoS) by including our journal in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).
On behalf of the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE), it is with great pleasure that we thank all authors, reviewers, and editors of WES for achieving a high-quality, scientific, open-access, open-peer-reviewed journal. We rely on this expanding group of persons and their great support to further advance our journal.
Papers dating back to the very first publication in 2016 can soon be found using the search function in the WoS, and our ESCI indexation will contribute to the calculation of an author's h-index. Of course we hope that WES will be included into the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) in the near future and thus will receive a journal impact factor, but it is Clarivate Analytics' policy that journals included in the ESCI are evaluated for inclusion in SCIE no sooner than two years after being indexed in ESCI.
